The year 2020 has proved to be a hectic year for the Hindi film industry, especially with the films and web-series ignoring the theatrical experience and going for OTT release. Some of the great Bollywood films have been released since then on some of the online streaming giants. However, no one can deny the fact that the experience of watching a film in the cinema halls is irreplaceable. So, here are few Bollywood movies that should have released in theatres -

Shakuntala Devi

The extremely talented Vidya Balan plays Human Computer Shakuntala Devi in Amazon Prime`s film, which is based on her life. Anu Menon directed the film, which follows the main events in the life of the great mathematician who could solve long and complicated sums orally. The film would have been a greater experience if was released in theatres.

Khuda Haafiz

Khuda Haafiz was another one of the big films to be released on an OTT platform where Vidyut Jammwal plays the lead role of a man on a mission to save his wife from a foreign country. Faruk Kabir is the director of the film.

Khaali Peeli

Helmed by Maqbool Khan, the action-comedy flick featured Ishaan Khatter and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles and both looked amazing in a never-seen-before avatar. The film received positive reviews but it would have been more entertaining to watch this masala-entertainer on the silver screen.

Bulbbul

Anushka Sharma's Bulbbul is a supernatural horror film that featured Tripti Dimri in the lead role and became a huge success for the whole team of 'Bulbbul'. Though the movie was released on Netflix yet the thrill of enjoying a horror film on the big screen is different.

Serious Men

Serious Men is a satirical comedy-drama film directed by Sudhir Mishra and featured Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Well, watching the amazing Nawazuddin on the big screen has always been a pleasure and this film too should have released in cinema halls.

The White Tiger

The drama film 'The White Tiger' featured Adarsh Gourav in the first leading role and was truly awesome in the movie. Priyanka Chopra and Rajkummar Rao also fantastically played their roles. The film was released on Netflix while it could have been released in the theatres.

Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl

Netflix's drama film was based on the journey of Indian Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena, one of the first Indian female air-force pilots in combat. Janhvi Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi and Angad Bedi as a family were brilliant in the film. It should have been watched on the big screen.

Dil Bechara

Dil Bechara was the most demanded film ever to be released in theatres but the makers did not release the film due to the lockdown following the coronavirus outbreak. The film has a separate fanbase being late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's last film and it became the most viewed film on Disney Plus Hotstar.

Chhalaang

Hansal Mehta's sports-comedy drama film 'Chhalaang' was released on Amazon Prime and got positive reviews from the fans and was lauded for its light-hearted comedy. Rajkummar Rao, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub were great in their respective characters. The film should have been released in theatres for a better experience.

Ludo

Netflix film Ludo became one of the most successful films of 2020 with a brilliant star cast of Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanya Malhotra, Rajkummar Rao, and others. Directed by Anurag Basu, the black comedy crime film was a roller-coaster ride and indeed it would have been a delight to watch this film in the cinema halls.
