Foods That Fill You Up

Eating these healthy and satisfying foods will keep you feeling full for a longer time- great for health and great for weight loss.

Apples

Try eating an apple half hour before a meal: The fiber and water from the apple will fill you up.

Soup

A bowl of low-calorie, broth-based soup before the main course reduces up to 20 percent of the calorie intake at the meal.

Eggs

Because of the protein that eggs contain, starting your day with eggs will leave you satisfied until lunch.

Chillies

Did you know that adding heat to your meal may also control your appetite. A study found that adding 1/4 teaspoon of chili pepper to each meal increased satiety and fullness.

Nuts

Nuts are designed by nature to control appetite because they're rich in healthy unsaturated fat, along with bonus protein and fiber.

Beans, Chickpeas & Lentils

These are protein-rich 'super foods' packed in fiber, antioxidants, B vitamins and iron. Eating more of them will also help you control your appetite.

Dark Chocolate

Caving something sweet? Get some dark chocolate. It helps reduce blood pressure and protects the heart and brain. More filling than milk chocolate too.
