Taking On Aamir

But did you know that the makers of his next film Shanghai are willing to take on none other than Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan himself, at the box office?

Shanghai Vs. Dhuaan

Trade sources say that Shanghai's release has been confirmed for Republic Day i.e. January 26, 2012. Apparently, this is the same date that was locked for Aamir Khan's next with Reema Kagti, rumored to be titled Dhuaan.

Himmatwala

This news comes as quite a shocker because not many filmmakers dare to release their films at the same time as an Aamir Khan starrer.

Political Thriller

However, the release timing of 'Shanghai' makes sense, as this is a political thriller and reflects the state of the country.
