Hollywood couples who don't give up on each other

Some couples are so in love that they immediately find their happily ever after. Others take a more winding road to get there. Here are Hollywood's most famous celebrity couples who have been known to call it quits and try again.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner

The couple met in 2002 while filming Daredevil, but didn't begin dating until 2004. They tied the knot in 2005 and announced their split in 2015, amid rumors that he had an affair with their nanny. In 2016, they were spotted leaving couple's therapy, suggesting that they were still working on the relationship, but in February 2017, Garner officially filed for divorce. In March, rumors circulated that the couple was calling off their divorce and separation, but the couple didn't end up reconciling.

John Mayer and Katy Perry

Katy Perry and John Mayer were first linked in 2012, but broke up and got back together several times between then and 2015, when they split for the last time (so far).

Ryan Gosling and Rachel Mcadams

When Ryan and Rachel met on the set of 2004's The Notebook, they didn't get along at all. Their hatred turned to love though and they dated from mid-2005 until mid-2007. They briefly reconciled in 2008 before splitting for good.

Drake and Rihanna

Drake and Rihanna have been notoriously coy about their relationship status for years, but the stars have been romantically linked off and on since 2009.

Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence

The couple met in 2010 on the set of X-Men: First Class and dated until early 2013. They reunited briefly in 2014 while filming X-Men: Days of Future Past, but ultimately split again.

Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian

Kourtney and Scott started dating in 2006 and were on and off until 2015. They have three kids together and don't seem to have closed the door completely on the possibility of another reconciliation in the future.

Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus

Miley and Liam met in 2009 on the set of their movie The Last Song. They broke up for the first time in August 2010 and were on and off the rest of that year. They got back together in spring of 2011 and were engaged by June of 2012. In September 2013, the couple called off their engagement and spent several years apart before rekindling their romance in 2016.

Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian

The tumultuous couple started dating in 2016 and things took a turn for the worse after the birth of their daughter, Dream, in November 2016. The couple broke up in December after Chyna's Instagram hack, only to reconcile days later. They split again in February...made up again and then broke things off yet again in the summer of 2017.

Tyga and Kylie Jenner

Kylie and Tyga first officially went public with their relationship during her 18th birthday trip to Mexico in 2015 but were soon rumored to be on the rocks. In 2016, they were on and off and split, seemingly for good, in April 2017.

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green

The couple met in 2004 and began dating. They got engaged in 2006 and split for the first time in 2009, but the breakup didn't last long. They reconciled and got married in 2010. She filed for divorce in August 2015, but by early 2016, the couple were back together and expecting their third child together.

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik

Gigi and Zayn started dating in 2015 but reportedly split in June 2016. Later that month, however, they stepped out holding hands in NYC, confirming that they were back on.

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield

Emma and Andrew met in 2010 while filming The Amazing Spider-Man and were linked romantically in 2011 after they each broke up with their respective significant others. They were adorable together until 2015 when they reportedly split. Although there's never been any official confirmation of a reconciliation, they've both gushed about each other in interviews since and there were rumors of sparks when they ran into each other on the awards circuit in 2017.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez

Justin and Selena have dated off and on since 2011. After what seemed like a final split in 2014, the pair has been spotted hanging out again recently following her split from The Weeknd.
