As the 68th Cannes festival kick starts lets take trip down the memory lane and recall Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Bollywood's most prominent personality at Cannes film festival. Ash is the only Indian actress who has been invited to the festival for 14 consecutive years, so let's look at the diva's journey so far...

Indian Beauty (2002)

At he first appearance, Aishwarya donned Neeta Lulla saree, with heavy gold jewellery. The diva looked absolutely gorgeous in the saree, the deity beauty was successful in leaving an everlasting impression.

Fail to impress (2003)

The actress again wore Neeta Lulla's parrot green saree was impressive but her second look with the pink embroidered flare skirt and the embellished maroon bustier both failed miserably at the red carpet.

The Sexy Siren (2004)

Continuing the loyalty Aishwarya again appeared in Neeta Lulla gown. The diva wore a cut out gown and she looked gorgeous,however the actresses look was not appreciated much back in India.

Lady in Black (2005)

And alas the diva wooed everyone as she walked down the red carpet in black Gucci gown. She had finally made a mark. Her black lacy gown with plunging neckline along with her flirtatious Armani's floral maxi dress both made her look perfect.

Enchanting neck piece (2006)

The blue Elie Saab gown looked absolutely brilliant on her and the serpentine neck piece grabbed all the attention and enhanced the beauty of the dress.

Abhi-Ash Jodi's Debut (2007)

The newly wed couple Aishwarya and Abhishek mesmerized all with their classy appearance on the red carpet in 2007. Aishwarya flaunted a strapless Giorgio Armani gown accessorized with a neck piece, the look was simple and elegant.

The Stunner (2008)

Mrs Bachchan walked on red carpet again with husband Abhishek Bachchan. She made an appearance thrice. The lace gown by Giorgio Armani was a stunner, The fuschia Roberto Cavalli gown was nothing great, but the classy black gown yet again complimented the lady beautifully.

The Ruffle-wuffle (2009)

The diva in 2009 was successful in spellbinding the on lookers in her white Roberto Cavalli ruffled gown and the sky blue Elie Saab one shoulder dress. Ash simply looked perfect and effortlessly stylish.

From West to East! (2010)

The beauty queen bedazzled everyone with her gorgeously stunning fashion style starting from light lavender Elie Saab gown with the nude makeup and the bouffant hairdo. To the black fish cut Armani Prive gown which was pretty chic, to Gucci's fuschia gown and lastly the Indian touch with Sabyasachi saree.

Ash at her best (2011)

2011, was one of her best dressed Cannes festival so far. To start with she wore an off-shoulder embroidered Elie Saab gown made a perfect style statement at the red carpet. Followed by the white and blue Armani Prive outfit looked dazzling on Aishwarya.

Pretty Mommy (2012)

Though the actress was criticized for her post pregnancy weight gain, the actress did not skip the festival and made an appearance in Elie Saab blue gown and second appearance in Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla saree, despite of her weight gain Ash looked pretty.

The curvaceous damsel (2013)

Black seems to be Aishwarya's favourite color on the red carpet, in 2013 she flaunted a black and grey Elie Saab gown which complimented her curvacious figure, also the blue Gucci gown looked stunning, with hot pink lips and a playful high bun. But the best look was however the Abu Jani Sandeep Kholsa floor length anarkali with colourful embroidery.

Va Va Vroom (2014)

The gorgeous diva is back! Aishwarya was back with a bang! The gold Roberto Cavalli gown as well as the figure-hugging white Roberto Cavalli couture piece simply made the haters jaw drop!
