The film is Zoya's fourth directorial venture after 'Luck By Chance', 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' and 'Bombay Talkies'.
"Saw Zoya's Dil Dharekne Do. Great movie. Feeling so proud of her that it can be diagnosed as a border line case of arrogance," tweeted Javed, 70.
Starring his son Farhan Akhtar, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh and Anil Kapoor, 'Dil Dhadakne Do' is about a dysfunctional Punjabi family.
The comedy drama, also starring Anushka Sharma and Shefali Shah, is set to release on June 5.
Zoya and Farhan are Javed's children with former wife Honey Irani.
