Call it the impact of the prayers of Salman's fans, or whatever you want to. But finally some relief has come for Salman, as Bombay High Court's bench headed by Justice Abhay Thipsay has suspended Salman's sentence, in famous hit-and-run case which dates back to 2002.

While hearing the plea, which was filed by Salman's defense counsel on Wednesday, soon after the decision of lower court, Justice Abhay Thipsay took a decision to provide some relief to the actor and in a way overruled the decision of the lower court.

While pleading the innocence on behalf of actor, his advocate claimed that the lower court didn't give the due consideration to the fact that on the fateful night, it was not Salman who was on the wheels, rather it was some 4th person who was driving the car!

After this decision of Bombay HC probably there will be some relief for, Salman who is facing trial ever since 2002, under Section 304 A of the Indian Penal Code (rash and negligent driving); 279 (rash driving); 337 (causing minor injuries); 338 (causing major injuries) 427 (negligence).Along with Sections 34 (a), (b) read with 181 (driving vehicle in contravention of rules); 185 (driving at great speed after consuming alcohol) of Motor Vehicle Act. Along with Sections 34 (a), (b) read with 181 (driving vehicle in contravention of rules); 185 (driving at great speed after consuming alcohol) of Motor Vehicle Act.

What Transpired in the court room
The hearing of the case took a dramatic turn earlier in the day when Salman's lawyer asked in the court that why singer, Kamaal Khan, who was in Salman's car when it run over five people sleeping on a Mumbai pavement in 2002, had not been examined by the police.

While narrating his decision Justice Thipsay stated that, “We cannot take pleasure in the fact that someone is in custody. There is no law that says if there is alcohol (in blood) it is culpable homicide."

What Next?
If reports are to be believed then they suggest that further hearing pertaining to the case may take place in June or July. As after hearing arguments from both sides single-judge bench of justice Abhay Thipsay suspended the five-year jail term of the actor and stated that, "We can fix a date in June or July whether he is guilty or not."

Ever since the decision of lower court has come against Salman, entire social media as well as actor's fan following has gone berserk.
