Karan Johar's production house, Dharma, will apparently move out of Khar after over two decades. The filmmaker is said to have bought a huge property in Andheri (West) and will shift there by the end of 2016.
A source close to KJo says, `He needs a bigger place considering the rate at which the company is growing. His current office, which is located above a popular coffee shop, occupies one entire floor. But since one part of it has been converted into an edit room, space is an issue.`
Most Bollywood folk operate from Andheri, be it production studios, editing suites, rehearsal halls and casting studios. There are, however, a handful of actors and filmmakers who have their offices in Bandra. `Karan will be renovating the property he has bought and it is more than two times the size of his Khar office,` adds the source.
Current projects of Dharma Productions include 'Brothers', 'Kapoor & Sons', 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' and an Ayan Mukherji superhero flick that is yet to be titled.
