Shruti, who is the daughter of Kamal Haasan and Sarika, said though she enjoyed playing small roles in big-budget Bollywood films, she would now love to a movie that would revolve around her character.
"It is something I would be very excited about. I am ready to carry a film on my shoulder. I am prepared for a movie, where the story revolves around me.I would love to do something like that in future," Shruti told PTI
The 27-year-old actress will, however, continue making appearances in the ensemble films till the time she gets solo roles.
"It really depends... I can't choose between the two arrangements that is solo or multi-starrers. Ideally, we always prefer solo but it's true that were get noticed in multi-starrer," she said.
The actress is now looking forward to Tigmanshu Dhulia'sYaara. The film, which also stars Amit Sadh, has begun filming.
"It is very nice to work with a director like Tigmanshu Dhulia. He is someone with a very unique perspective and it is always wonderful to work with someone who holds performances in such great height and I really like the premise of the movie and my character," Shruti said.
Shruti said it's big advantage for her to have fans across the country, thanks to her both Bollywood and Southern film outings.
