Shooting for director Ravi Chopra's eagerly awaited "Baabul" has picked up since Amitabh Bachchan resumed filming after his illness and the film is set for a Diwali release.

The film, which had got delayed due to Amitabh's illness, is progressing at a satisfactory pace with both - the cast and the crew - working in perfect tandem. Chopra is hoping to wrap it up in July, said sources.

Produced by B.R. Chopra, the family saga with a social message repeats much of his "Baghban" cast. Apart from Amitabh, it also stars Salman Khan and Hema Malini. Others in the film are Rani Mukerji, John Abraham and Om Puri.

Chopta is right now busy filming scenes and songs, including the one rendered by Amitabh and Salman, at Film City.

Sameer has penned the lyrics for this emotional drama and Aadesh Shrivastava has composed the music.
