Preity has always been a bubbly girl of Bollwood but come August and things are going to change drastically, allege the sources at Dharma production.

Preity has just finished shooting for Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, KANK for short, which additionally stars Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherji. The film has been largely been shot in the US.

Though Johar and camp have been extremely tightlippped about the subject of the film but the insiders reveal that it revolves around a budding romance between SRK and Rani who are married to different people.

When their feelings for each other surface in the open, lives of everyone involved are affected and things change forever.

Preity who is back in India from her world tour is also very excited about the role. She believes that her role of an ambitious magazine editor in KANK is unlike anything that she has done in the past.

"I play this cold woman which wasn't easy for a warm person like me to do. Rani is a rock star. Mr Bachchan and SRK need no endorsement from me. But it is Abhishek who takes the cake. I truly feel that Abhishek is the star of tomorrow," she gushes.

Aprat from KANK, both Preity and Karan Johar will be seen making waves at Cannes later this month when they go to France for the prestigious film festival.

Says Zinta, "I'm excited about Cannes because I'm going with one of my most entertaining friends who, by the way knows French better than the French, so I needn't fear misinterpretation. I hope to catch The Da Vinci Code there. But Karan and I are looking mainly at projecting our Kabhi Alvidaa Na Kehna "

KANK is scheduled for release in August 2006.
