'Wazir' director Bejoy Nambiar to tie the knot with longtime sweetheart, model-actress Sheetal Menon today in his hometown, Kochi

There had been intermittent buzz about director Bejoy Nambiar's impending wedding with his longtime sweetheart, model-actress Sheetal Menon, but he scotched rumours every time. But, it turns out that they are indeed getting hitched, and have chosen Christmas (today) for the marriage, which will be solemnised in his hometown, Kochi.

Bejoy says, "Yes, I am getting married on Christmas day."

Interestingly, the filmmaker has suddenly taken time out for his wedding - in the midst of pre-release activities for his Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar-starrer 'Wazir', which releases a fortnight later.

Sources say it will be a traditional Malayali wedding since he and Sheetal both hail from Kerala. "It will be a simple, quiet affair with some of his close friends from the industry flying in for his big day," adds a source.

Rumours of their affair had surfaced after since Sheetal acted in Bejoy's 2011 film, 'Shaitaan'. She also featured in his 2013 film, 'David'.

This will be Bejoy's second marriage. He had married actress Juhi Babbar in 2007 after a two-year courtship. They parted ways in 2009 due to irrevocable differences. Juhi later married actor-anchor Anup Soni.
