Supermodel-turned-actor Milind Soman and his French co-star Mylene Jampanoi in the international production Valley of Flowers are now man and wife.

"Soman tied the knot with Jampanoi three days back," the movie's director Pan Nalin announced at the inauguration of the 8th Osian Cinefan film festival where the film premiered on Saturday.

The romance between the two blossomed during the filming of the Indo-French-Japanese-German production that has thespian Naseruddin Shah in a prominent role.

One of India's first male supermodels and the star of films like 16th December, Rules and Agni Varsha, 41-year-old Soman first shot to fame with his campaign for Thackersey fabrics.

A national level swimmer, Soman was briefly engaged to model Madhu Sapre with whom he had shot the controversial Tuff Shoes advertisement, which showed the couple apparently nude and wrapped with a python.

Jampanoi, who is of Chinese and French parentage, is considered by fans as the Asian version of Monica Bellucci. She has starred in films like Les Filles du botaniste, Le Detective: Contre-enquete, Cavalcade and 36 Quai des Orfevres.

The two were rumoured to be courting for nearly a year now and reportedly met each other outside India every six weeks before entering wedlock.
