In scathing comments against the actress community, the columnist spoke about the 'shallow' nature of the industry, saying that there was no sisterhood in Bollywood and that all the solidarity beings and ends on the red carpet.
Sharing her opinion on Twitter, she wrote, "Strange. Not a single top actress has spoken up for Kangana. Solidarity begins and ends on the red carpet."
She added that Kangana didn't need any support and was capable of fighting her own battles.
She added,"Apparently, it's a case of no sisterhood in Bollywood, when it comes to Queen Kangana. She is more than capable of fighting her own battles."
Interestingly, Vidya Balan extended her support to the 'Queen' star on Thursday.
Asked about her take on the ongoing controversy, Vidya told reporters, "It's none of my business, but I have great admiration for her (Kangana)".
"She is standing up for herself. It's easy to stand for other people but we rarely see people standing up for themselves. Kudos to her and more power to her," she added.

In her column, she had hit out at Adhyayan Suman for talking about being allegedly abused both physically and mentally by Kangana during the their affair.
The column got Adhyayan's father Shekhar hot under the collar.
Shekhar Suman sprung into action to defend his son and said, "I've always been an admirer of Shobhaa De's columns. She normally talks so much sense and she's so non-partisan in her comments. What has happened to her now?! She has hit out at my son for speaking out about the trauma that he suffered when he was in the relationship with Kangna Ranaut. Ms De thinks my son is being a cry-baby for talking about how he was physically abused. But I think it takes a man a lot of guts to speak about being pushed around by a woman."

Issues between the Kangana and Hrithik surfaced after the actress hinted at being her 'ex', saying in an interview that she fails to understand "why exes do silly things to get your attention".
The feud between Hrithik and his 'Krrish 3' co-star turned nasty after they slapped legal notices on each other.
Hrithik, who was the first to send the legal notice, has demanded that Kangana apologise in a press conference and clear the air about their alleged affair which he firmly refutes. Kangana slapped a counter-notice to Hrithik claiming the actor was slut-shaming her.
