At an event for her upcoming film Udta Punjab yesterday, Alia was asked about her strained relationship with Sidharth. Since the film is about Punjab and the event was to launch a song titled Ikk Kudi, the actress wittily replied, `Munde ko ghar pe chhodo... yahaan hum ikk kudi ki baat karne aaye hain (leave the boy at home... we are here to talk about the girl). It was a rather smart way of evading the question, but onlookers say that all is definitely not well between Sid and Alia. Sources allege that Alia is not too keen that Sid work with his Ek Villain co-star Shraddha Kapoor.
At the event, Alia also had a word of advice for actress Neetu Chandra and others who denounced her for perpetuating Bihari stereotypes. The Bhatt girl essays the role of a Bihari migrant in the film. The actress said, `We always make assumptions before seeing the full film. A film's trailer is just a tease or hint.`
Making music
When asked if she would like to come out with an album, Alia said, `I definitely want to sing songs but I am not a good professional singer. If I get opportunities like these then I will sing. But focus right now is on films. Later may be, I might cut an album.`
The actress has sung in films like Kapoor & Sons, Highway and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.
