It looks like genres never get outdated in Bollywood. Be it the ilk of romantic movies, rom-com, crime-thrillers or the action flicks. In Bollywood, every genre gets refurbished with time and lands again at the BO to charm the masses.

Now the latest genre, which is making a comeback is the buddy-cops saga. Remember the decade of the 90s when Akki and Saif did wonders at BO with movies like "Main Khiladi Tu Anari", "Tu Chor Main Sipahi" and many others?

Then came in a time, when Dhoom franchise literally took over the showbiz by storms. Although the antagonists kept on changing in the "Dhoom" trilogy, but the buddy-cops remained the same i.e. Abhishek aka ACP Jai Dixit and Uday Chopra aka Ali Akbar Fateh Khan.

Now it looks like John, who played a negative character in the first edition of "Dhoom", has decided to step on the other side of the line with his upcoming cine flick "Dishoom", where he will be seen playing the character of a cop.

Ever since the day "Dishoom" went on the floor, it has garnered tons of hype around it. Courtesy, reports relating to its adrenaline rushing action sequence. And believe us as claimed by the makers, "Dishoom" will definitely give you goosebumps with its high-octane action sequences.

For John, jumping from cliffs and punching low lives without a care in the world is familiar territory. But Varun hasn`t explored hardcore action as a genre. Sure, he has fought bad people to save his ladylove in films, but the fight sequences in "Dishoom" are on a different tangent.

If some of the initial reports which were doing rounds in the grapevine are to be believed, then they suggested that "Dishoom" is based on 2013 Malayalam cine flick "Mumbai Police". Of late another version or reports appeared buzz arena claiming that "Dishoom" is circumscribed around the kidnapping of an ace cricketer.

According to these reports, in Dishoom Saqib`s character is inspired from cricketer, Virat Kohli. Reports further suggested that in the movie this ace sportsman gets kidnapped, and John-Varun who are said to be playing cops get on the task of getting him rescued.

However, the makers have not confirmed about the Virat`s angle in the film. But, after watching this power packed trailer of the movie it looks quite conspicuous that plot of "Dishoom" is quite similar to what reports suggested. And don`t know why, but look and feel of this awesome trailer is compelling us to say, that with tons of action and thrill "Dishoom" is expected to emerge as a BO winner.

Besides John and Varun, it`s Jacqueline and Nargis Fakhri who will be seen charming their admirers by their drool-worthy antics. And the man who is the surprise package of this much-awaited cine flick is none other than Akshay Khanna, who is returning to Bollywood arena after very long.
