Irrfan has courted controversy by suggesting that Muslims should introspect rather than fast during Ramzan. He also said that Muharram was for mourning, not bringing out processions, and slaughtering goats was not real sacrifice.
When asked about this, Aamir said, "Religion is a personal issue each one has their own feelings and thoughts about it. I have my own. I don't want to comment about other people's feelings, what they think about."
The 51-year-old star feels one should focus on highlighting positive stories than negative stuff.
"We have lot of issues in our society. But it is human nature that the focus is more on negative or controversy. In general, negativity sells more than positivity... That is the trend," he said.
"If we decide to focus on positive things then we will see more positive stories in society that are happening at grass-root level. That needs to come out and promoted," he added.
The 'pk' actor said he gets affected by "negative news" and feels happy when he hears good things.
"As a common person, even I am affected with what happens in society. When someone says something disturbing, then I also feel disturbed if something is good then I feel good. So I would request media to concentrate on positive things."
