It marks her return to the small screen. Before trying her luck in films, she hosted MTV shows for four years.
"It's an interesting concept and I really liked it. It is a films-based show. It's not merely a dance show. We are looking out for superstars of tomorrow and hence it covers every aspect from dancing to dialogue delivery to giving them different situations to acting etc," said Amrita.
So, what is the basic criterion to judge the contestants?
"Well, apart from exuding confidence, they need to have that 'X' factor. They should have the ability to be impulsive and spontaneous as well."
The show will have two judges -- ace choreographer Shiamak Davar and the gorgeous Urmila Matondkar.
Amrita had recently been in the news for her item number in Hriday Shetty's Pakistani film "Godfather", but refuses to talk about it.
"I cannot divulge any details as of now. All I can say is that I play a Bollywood actress in the film and I also have an item number."
Her forthcoming films include Vikram Bhatt's "Red" and "Speed".
