Great artists always have a keen eye for great creations. The same holds true for ace filmmakers Raj Kumar Gupta and Onir. It does not come as surprise that Indian Short film Aaba, directed by Amar Kaushik, won the Special Prize of Gen. KPlus Int. Jury for Best Short Film at Berlinale - Berlin International Film Festival. The film was produced by Raj Kumar Gupta, Mitul Dikshit &co produced by Onir helmed Anticlock Films, Hali Welly and Alison Welly. Director Amar earlier worked as associate director to Raj Kumar & Onir, post which they have supported his debut directorial venture.

While many true patrons of Indian and international cinema took notice of this great feat for an Indian short film, one stood out beyond others. Ace producer Guneet Monga took to Facebook to congratulate Raj and Onir.

Guneet is herself known to be one of the most evolved and forward thinking producers in the country who is known to produce edgy and content-driven cinema. Her film The Lunchbox was also showcased at Berlinale Co-Production Market.

Another person who is at the helm of content-driven cinema, Raj Kummar Rao also congratulated the team of Aaba for the win.

Incidentally, the other film that made a mark at Berlinale this year was Raj Kummar and Anjali Patil starrer Newton.
