"Ek toote huye dil ki", the sad number from Aishwarya Rai-starrer "Umrao Jaan", has emerged as the number one song of the week.

The top 10 Hindi film songs of the week are:

1. "Ek toote huye dil ki" - Film: "Umrao Jaan"; Music: Anu Malik; Singer: Alka Yagnik. A short and sad track that has appealed to listeners and moved up to take the top position.

2. "Main hoon don" - Film: "Don - The Chase Begins Again"; Singer: Shaan; Music: Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The stylishly shot song, which has lyrics by Javed Akhtar, has moved down to second position even as there is a lot of excitement in the air about the film's release.

3. "Tere bin" - Film: "Bas Ek Pal"; Singer: Atif Aslam; Music: Mithoon. The film didn't get much of a response at the box office but this blues' number is holding on to its third position this week too.

4. "Pyaar kar ke pachtaye" - Film: "Pyaar Ke Side Effects"; Singer: Labh Janjua; Music: Pritam. The film has received rave reviews, which has boosted the popularity of the song.

5. "Chak de phatte"- "Khosla Ka Ghosla"; Singer: Kailash Kher; Music: Bapi-Tutul, Dhruv. A typical Punjabi fun song from the comic flick "Khosla Ka Ghosla", it has entered the charts this week. The film is going house full even weeks after its release.

6. "Hum ko maaloom hai" - Film: "Jan-e-Mann"; Music: Anu Malik; Singers: Sonu Nigam and Sadhana Sargam. The number with conversational lyrics is an instant hit with music lovers and has moved a notch up.

7. "Aap ki khatir" - Film: "Aap Ki Khatir"; Singer: Himesh Reshammiya; Music: Himesh Reshammiya. The film didn't receive encouraging reviews and new entrants ousted the song last week. However, its popularity brings it back to the list this week.

8. "Pal pal" - Film: "Lage Raho Munna Bhai"; Singer: Vinod Rathod; Music: Shantanu Moitra. It is a treat to watch this well-choreographed song, which is slowly but steadily climbing up the list.

9. "Mujhe haq hai"- Film: "Vivah"; Music: Ravindra Jain; Singers: Udit Narayan and Shreya Ghoshal. The love song has hit the right chord with young listeners.

10. "Kya mujhe pyaar hai" - Film: "Woh Lamhe"; Singer: K.K; Music: Pritam. The success of the film and the music has surprised trade watchers. This is certainly the best song in the album.
