Abhishek Bachchan is away from big screen for a quiet time and has not signed any new movie lately. But there are reports which suggest that Abhishek Bachchan is gearing up for his next film which will be a biopic of eminent poet Sahir Ludhianvi.

According to reports, "Abhishek has started his preparations for the biopic and he has lost weight for the role."

The biopic is being produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and it will be directed by Jasmeet Reen.

Earlier there were reports that Deepika Padukone will also be part of the film. She will play Amrita Pritam's character but recently in an interview, Deepika put all rumours to rest and denied being part of the movie.

However, there is no official confirmation but it will be interesting to see Abhishek portraying the character of an ace lyricist.
