Mandira Bedi, an epitome of women empowerment is inspiring many for fitness and wellness with her fighter physique. Mandira won the health icon of the year award last week and has been associated with many fitness brands and health events. Mandira is shooting for yet another commercial for a fitness brand tomorrow and this one is very special for her because the commercial will be directed by no-other but her life partner, director-producer, Raj Kaushal.

In the past 18 years of their marriage there have been just a few chances to work on a same project and so Mandira is excited and happy considering this commercial shoot will be directed by husband Raj.​

The ad film will be shot on the same day they met for the first time in 1996. Back then Mandira had appeared and was appreciated in Shanti and DDLJ, Raj was the chief assistant to Mukul Anand and shooting for a project where Mandira was called for a screen test.

​Says Mandira: "​Raj, over the last year has been doing some really different and clutter breaking work. So I was looking forward to working with him for this.. He put a lot of thought into this commercial in terms of location and making it look different and me look good!! And it's always great to have a comfort level when you work. So that worked out on all counts! Was a fun shoot!​"​


Raj has directed films like Anthony Kaun Hai, Shaadi Ka Laddoo, and P​y​aar mein Kabhi Kabhi to name a few. and has directed over 500 adfilms. And the last one year has directed 7 digital films that have touched together garnered over 50 million views.​"​

Mandira's Hindi film vodka diaries releases next month, she is busy shooting for Prabhas starer Saaho, Her south film Adangathey trailer is out and the film will releasing soon. Mandira has 2 more Hindi films in the pipeline and​ ​will be featured in a few short digital films in the next couple of months.

This is their last shoot of the year before they take off for their family vacation.
