Actress Lakshmi Manchu had some special plans for celebrating the joyous festival of Makar Sankranti this year. The actress, along with the help of 'Teach For Change' invited over 50 Government school children who have excelled in their academics, to her house for lunch. In addition to that, each kid was gifted a custom made designer outfit for his/herself.

Lakshmi personally hosted the lunch and spent the day talking to these children. She spoke to them about how important it is for each one of them to study in order to achieve their dreams and go however far they want to in life.

Commenting on the same, the actress stated "I feel really blessed for being able to give something from my end towards this cause. It's all about giving what you can and the joy I get is something I cannot express in words. May the blessings of this festival bestow upon each one of us".

Kudos to Lakshmi for such a heartfelt gesture!

On the work front, Lakshmi Manchu will be next seen in a Hollywood flick titled 'Basmati Blues' which is slated to release on February 9, 2018.
