The shoot of 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' was stalled due to power failure in Tehri, Uttarakand. It's ironic as the film revolves around electricity theft. The film stars Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.

While shooting recently the shooting was stopped mid scene due to power cut which lasted for a couple of hours. Though generators were arranged but by the time shooting could resume it took a couple of hours.

Meanwhile the team had conversations with the locals and were discussing the power cut issue. These inputs helped them make a few improvisations to the story, says a source.

The film is about bringing the social issue of electricity shortage to the notice of people and to encourage authorities to investigate the inaccuracies of the electricity bills.

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' is an upcoming comedy-drama starring Shahid, Shraddha, and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles.
