After a series of flops, Rajshri production has now pinned their hope on their new release Shahid
Kapoor-starrer "Vivah" to turn the tide.
Director Sooraj R Barjatya and Vivah's lead actors Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao, were present during its
release at PVR Saket.
Barjatya hoped this film would fare better in the coming days.
Describing "Vivah" as a full entertainer film, Barjatya said "this is a very special film and is totally family-
oriented. I have handled the love story with a bit difference. Music is the backbone of the characters as it
provides them support when needed the most."
Talking about his decision to cast Shahid Kapoor
as the male lead in the film, he said "as the role is very sensitive, Shahid very much suits it."
"It
was great to work with Soorajji as he wanted me to become Poonam of 'Vivah'. This is a very touching
movie as there are some sensitive scenes that I have never done before in any film," said Amrita
Rao.
"Sooraj is a very sensitive person. He handles the theme of romance nicely. Sensitivity blended with the
family traditions is the USP of the film," Shahid Kapoor told.
Barjatiya said he has plans to promote young filmmakers in future, keeping in mind the "Rajshree values."
