Starring Vicky Kaushal in the lead role, URI is creating buzz ever since the trailer was released. Based on true events, Ronnie Screwvala's URI is based on the 2016 Indian army's surgical strike on terrorist camps in Pakistan in retaliation for the terror attack on an Army camp in Uri in Jammu and Kashmir.

As a special marketing initiative and a tribute to the makers of the film took and presented the film's rushes to the Men in uniform with a wide range of - Indian Army, Indian Navy, CRPF, BSF amongst others to give them a preview of their film. The team has got immense appreciation and accolades from the Army jawans who are proud to see their hard work and sacrifices for the nation being depicted in the truest form on the big screen.

Based on the coveted surgical strikes of 2016, Aditya Dhar's directorial URI traces the heroic triumph of the Indian army against the militant bases of Pakistan. The director took six months to do extensive research and flesh out the script even before he decided he wanted to direct this film. The script detailed out the events minutely which was approved immediately by ADG PI.

For the first time in the history of Indian Army, our nation took an initiative to attack an enemy, making the strike more special. The response to the trailer has been overwhelming and they are looking forward to the movie.

URI is one of the most anticipated films and it is the first film of Bollywood to release in 2019. The film also boasts of an ensemble cast, including Mohit Raina, Paresh Rawal, Yami Gautam, and Kirti Kulhari amongst others.

Produced by RSVP movies and directed by Aditya Dhar, the film is slated to release on 11th January 2019.
