The rumours about ‘cold war' between Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan are floating again and here's the reason...
While SRK's New Year's eve party at Mannat was attended by the who's who of Bollywood. Only the
Bachchans and Aishwarya Rai were conspicuous by their absence.
According to those who attended the mega party, SRK and wife Gauri pulled out all the stops in terms of
hospitality, this time. Every guest, including the Bachchans and Ash, was personally invited by Shah Rukh,
or Gauri, and sometimes by both. Karan Johar, who played co-host at the bash, also made calls to invite
everyone personally.
However, SRK has time and again denied any such tiff with the Bachchans. He has clearly said in his
interviews that he has "nothing but utmost respect for Mr. Bachchan" and that there is "no friction" between
him and the superstar.
Nonetheless their professional moves seem to always suggest that they are feuding with each other.
Directors have also been dragged into this feud, when Ram Gopal Varma had to choose between working
with his favourite muse Amitabh or SRK. Varma chose Amitabh and his relations with SRK soured.
Now another director who seems to be stuck in the middle of the ongoing SRK-Amitabh feud is Ravi
Chopra. Apparently SRK no longer wants to do a cameo in Ravi Chopra's Bhootnath which stars Amitabh.
Sources claim "Ravi will have to replace SRK or ensure he doesn't share scenes with Amitabh. The two
have many scenes together, but SRK does not want to share screen space with the Big B anymore."
