Talking about the same, Fatima says "As an actor, the greatest gift you can get is a vast variety of roles to play. For people to believe in you, that you will be able to pull off characters which are totally different from each other, is an achievement in itself. So I was very lucky to get a role (in Dangal) which wasn't mainstream and help me carve a niche for myself.
The actress further says, "But I am glad I got such a strong beginning. It required both physical as well as character preparation. The same goes for my role in Thugs... Zafar was a very strong-headed character, who was also required to have a certain set of physical skills."
