After an unsuccessful movie adaptation of Halo video games by The Lord Of the Rings fame filmmaker Peter Jackson, the beloved franchise has found its home as a web-series adaptation. At the center of the project is Steven Spielberg, the dreamer extraordinaire himself who will finally provide a much-awaited satisfaction to the fans of the game.

Shabana Azmi, yes, our very own seasoned actress Shabana Azmi, will play Admiral Margaret Parangosky, the head of Office of Naval Intelligence. Shabana Azmi bagging the role can be seen as a gigantic step in the era of Hollywood nowcasting from diverse ethnic backgrounds. Azmi's casting proves that it is not the color of the skin or the regional differences, but the prime quality of hard work that finally pays off! The role, on the contrary, fell into Azmi's lap by the forces of sheer luck.

The series will be directed by Otto Bathurst and will soon roll into production in Budapest in the fall. Joining Azmi is an equally abled cast of Natascha McElhone, Bokeem Woodbine, Bentley Kalu, Natasha Culzac and Kate Kennedy. Pablo Schreiber plays the role of Master Chief, a soldier caught in the battle between humanity and extra terrestrials.
