Prabhu Deva is all set to make his big debut in Bollywood as a director. The film stars Salman Khan and will be produced by Boney Kapoor and will go on the floors by June 15.

"Yes we are starting the film on June 15 and it will be completed in December. I have been speaking to Prabhu for quite some time and we have finalized the plans for this film. It is the remake of Pokiri which was directed by Prabhu Deva in Tamil.

The hero Vijay has become a star after the release of the film which was earlier made in Telugu and had Mahesh Babu in the lead role. The Telugu version has already collected above Rs 590 crores and the Tamil version is all set to break box office records. We have decided to remake the film after seeing its stupendous success" says Boney Kapoor.

"I have known Prabhu and worked with him before. He is a talented director and all the films that he has made in the South have been huge hits. I never doubted Prabhu's talents and I signed him for my film. Salman was the obvious choice as the film's lead and all I can say is that it is an unusual story and Salman fits the role perfectly," he adds.
