Amazon Prime Video's latest show The Forgotten Army will be the biggest OTT show ever produced. The show will mark famed director Kabir Khan's directorial debut on the OTT platform and is all set to release in January 2020.

According to sources, the show has been shot on a very high budget and stars two promising actors Sunny Kaushal and Sharvari as the protagonists. As the title suggests, the show seems to be a tough and strong tale of the Army highlighting the valour and bravery that the battles bring to our nation.

Kabir Khan is known for delivering some of the best hits like Ek Tha Tiger, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan and now will be awing the audience with his sports docu-drama '83 in 2020. '83 will trace India's historic win at the 1983 Cricket World Cup.

A source adds, `While speaking to the producers and show makers, Kabir was very clear of the vision and scale of this show. He didn't want to leave any stone unturned while making the show and rather treated it like his baby project. He made sure that his entire original film team is part of this project and he himself directed the entire series just like he does a film. The series is based on true events, will chart the journeys of several valiant men and women who fought for the country's independence as part of the Indian National Army, which was then led by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The story is close to the director's heart as he has lived through the storyline since his first directorial debut The Forgotten Army back in 1999.` The Forgotten Army will start streaming on Amazon Prime in January, 2020.
