The slow and steady Rani Mukherjee is destined to win the race. Or so it seems. Besides being a competent actress, she has a way of endearing herself to her co-stars. The result: every actor who works with her once recommends Rani to producers. Abhishek Bachchan, for instance, has described her as "a fun person who is disciplinedtoo".

And the big B, who worked with her in Karan Johar`s K3G, is completely bowled over by her natural and easy going attitude. Rani is in fact slated to do AB Corp`s next venture with Aamir Khan as well as Mani Rathnam`s next.When Sanjay Gupta spent six to eight weeks with both Sanjay Dutt and Amitabh during the shooting of Kaante in the US, he bounced off several ideas for his next production. His next, a multi starcast film, would have Amitabh, Sanjay Dutt and Dino Morea along with a host of other actors. And for the female lead, the team unanimously zeroed in on Rani. In particular, Dutt and Bachchan felt that only Rani could do the role of a rich man`s daughter who innocently gets embroiled in a murderous drug peddling deal.

When contacted, Rani quipped: "I am a switch-on switch-off actress and that`s what most of my directors love me for." We do, too!
