Isha Koppikar was a nobody until Khallas happened. The item number in Ram Gopal Varma`s upcoming film, Company, has catapulted her into the limelight. Isha`s last film, the nondescript Aamdanai Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya fetched her no new offers. So she moved southwards and did a couple of South Indian films and caught the attention of one of Ramu`s assistants.

The guy offered her an item song in Company. The rest, as they say, is history.Despite the presence of Manisha Koirala and Antara Mali in the cast, it is Isha who is being talked about the most. Khallas, sung by the inimitable Asha Bhosle, is topping the popularity charts. And even before the film`s release, Isha has bagged two films. "I was offered many more but they all wanted me for a sexy number only," says the Konkani actress.

What`s more she has been penciled in along with Ramu`s fave actress Urmila Matondkar to do the whizkid director`s next film, an edge-of-the-seat whodunit. Isha has come a long way indeed!
