It is a big star cast film comprising of Aftab Shivdasani,Dino Morea, Sammeer Dattani, Anuuj Sawhney, Nauhid, Koel Puri, Nikita Anand and Anjouri Alagh, the daughter of the actress Maya Alagh.Vikram Bhatt is directing this multi starrer which has been made on a heavy budget of six crores of rupees.
Says Ajhai "Life Mein Kabhi Kabhi is a story of young people who put the first steps in their lives and feel that they have the entire world in their pockets.
Every human being has a particular trait in him or her and our film is all about the confusion in the minds of the youths today and is a journey about their self-discovery about where happiness lies in life at the end of the day".
According to Ajhai, Vikram Bhatt has worked for over a year and a half on the subject of ‘Life Mein Kabhi Kabhi'.
"I am happy with the way our film has shaped. People today are looking out for different cinema, which is a bit different from, the usual rut but not drastically different. ‘Life Mein Kabhi Kabhi' is a step in that direction.
Vikram has directed a film for our production house for the first time in his career. After ‘Awara Paagal Deewana', this is his next film which boasts of a big larger than life star cast"
‘Life Mein Kabhi Kabhi', says Ajhai, does not set out to preach to the audience. "The protagonists in ‘Life Meiin Kabhi Kabhi' revel in bending the rules and stoop and compromise in the pursuit of their goals.
They have the killer instinct and in the process of attaining their goal, they do not even hesitate to go grey. Vikram Bhatt is the most under estimated dark horse of the industry, who has made a film in every conceivable genre, with or without stars.
With Vikram at the helm of affairs, the budget of our film did not escalate or go haywire. In any case, the cost of any project is governed by the project by itself. Every one associated with the project is a through professional".
Ajhai is of the opinion that the business of cinema has grown by leaps and bounds for the simple reason that the conditions in theatres also has become better of late.
Today watching cinema has become an enjoyable experience whereas in the past the experience of watching the pirated VCDs used to be better than watching films in bad theatres.
Though I concede that cinema is no longer the cheapest form of entertainment like in the past, today the biggest challenge for the producers is to be able to arouse the audience to come to the cinema houses to watch your film by resorting to proper marketing and publicity."
Ajhai Acharya says that he has zeroed in on directors like Abbas-Mustan, Anant Mahadevan and Deepak Tijori and a couple of ad film directors to make different kind of films for their production house Baba Films.
Though right now, Ajhai does not nurse any ambition to take up direction, he is keen on wielding the megaphone after producing two or three more films and learning the ropes of filmmaking. "Our production company has plans to explode into the arena of digital entertainment too.
We are already into a mode of expansion and deal with television, home entertainment and marketing. We hold the negative rights of various films." - (SAMPURN)
