As Bollywood celebrities like Sonu Sood are taking initiatives to help the society in these tough times of coronavirus pandemic, actor Ayushmann Khurrana and his wife Tahira Kashyap have now decided to take a noble initiative this Rakhi. Yes! the couple have pledged to help the women rag-pickers as they have extended their support to a non-profit organization from Delhi that empowers the underprivileged and marginalized women.

They will not only support almost 200 women rag pickers but will also help them by using their creative skills as the NGO will be selling hand made rakhis on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

Praising this noble initiative by the NGO, the 'Gulabo Sitabo' actor shared with ANI, `Tahira and I are deeply and emotionally invested in Gulmeher (the NGO). The organization is doing outstanding work to support this needy segment of the population in Delhi.`

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Ayushmann was last seen in Shoojit Sircar's 'Gulabo Sitabo' with the megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Ayushmann and his wife Tahira have recently purchased a Kothi in his hometown Panchkula.
