In an unexpected and a much needed break for Aishwarya Rai, who had been preparing for her marriage with Abhishek Bachchan on Friday, 'Jodha Akbar' shooting was stalled on Saturday last.

A source from the sets informed that heavy rains and thunderstorm on Saturday had damaged the sets of the film in ND Studio at Karjat, where Ashutosh Gowariker's 'Jodha Akbar' is being shot.

The princely sets had been put up to provide a realistic feel to the film. "Due to the immense loss, the shooting had to be called of for a few days" said the source.

The film has a budget of 50 crore and the sets are majestic. A 1200 feet long and 50 feet tall fort had been built and around 2 million glass pieces and mirrors have been used to re-create the magic of Sheesh Mahal.

The film is believed to be a huge historical epic about the romance between Mughal emperor Akbar and his Rajput wife Jodhabai.

As it is there were news that the film is running behind schedule and now this delay. Ashutosh's loss is surely Aishwarya's gain.
