Her recent releases may have bombed, but Sushmita Sen is far from finished. She has been flooded with significant roles in an array of big banner films that are slated to go on the floors later this year. Is that why Sush is planning a brief hiatus from work? Her friends suggest that the actress wants to prepare herself thoroughly for the professional challenges that lie ahead and hence feels the the need for "extensive homework".

On her part, Sush says: "I am sick of seeing myself on television promos and am going to take a break for some time." Apart from Aankhen, which is ready for release, one film Sush is looking forward to is choreographer Farah Khan`s directorial debut. What she is excited about is that, apart from featuring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead, the film will offer her the opportunity to showcase her talent as a dancer.

Moving from the likes of Arjun Rampal, Sharad Kapoor and Palash Sen to the big league - Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and now Shah Rukh - is a giant leap indeed. And Sush deserves every bit of the upswing in fortunes!
