Jaya Bachchan, who spoke in her 'Zero Hour' speech, 'conspiracy to defame the film industry' has now been provided 'parameter security' by the Mumbai police outside her Mumbai residence as a precautionary measure. According to the media reports, the Maharashtra government has heightened security around the two bungalows where Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya, Abhishek, Aishwarya, and Aaradhya are residing. The security has been given by the government after the 72 years old veteran actress received threats amid her statement in Rajya Sabha.
Maharashtra's ruling government Shiv Sena in its newspaper 'Saamana' editorial wrote while hinting at BJP MP and actor Ravi Kishan and Kangana Ranaut, "Those who make such claims are hypocrites and their statements smack of double standards. The editorial further read, "A doping test should be conducted on those who claim that all artists and technicians in the film industry are under the influence of drugs."
Well, on Tuesday, Jaya Bachchan said, "People in the entertainment industry are being flogged by social media. People who made their name in the industry have called it a gutter. I completely disagree. I hope that the government tells such people not to use this kind of language." On her statement, Bollywood celebrities such as Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, Sonam Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Anubhav Sinha, Dia Mirza, among others stand with Jaya Bachchan and also have spoken in Mrs. Bachchan's favor.
