Ranveer Singh-Rohit Shetty reunite for their next comedy venture 'Cirkus'!
Rohit Shetty's much-awaited 'Sooryavanshi', starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif has been slated for the future release due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Along with the lead pair, Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn will also reprise their ideal police officer roles from their cop universe films respectively. Now, Rohit has further planned for his next comedy venture 'Cirkus' with Ranveer Singh. As speculations were floating around the corner that the filmmaker is all set to cast Ranveer Singh in the remake of Angoor but now Rohit has made it official but he also disclosed that he will adapt Shakespeare's play 'The Comedy Of Errors'.

To elaborate it more on the connection of Angoor and 'The Comedy Of Errors' then 1982 Angoor was the remake of the Indian Film 'Do Dooni Char' which was the remake of 1963 Bengali language comedy film 'Bhrantibilas', based on Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar's Bengali novel by the same name, which itself was based on Shakespeare's play 'The Comedy of Errors'. So complicated just like its storyline! But Rohit has opted for an easy way and simply named it as a play adaptation.

The film, 'Cirkus' features an eclectic star cast which includes Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Sharma, Siddhartha Jadhav, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirjee, Vijay Patkar, Sulbha Arya, Mukesh Tiwari, Anil Charanjeett, Ashwini Kalsekar and Murli Sharma. Cirkus is set to go on floors next month and will be shot in Mumbai, Oaty and Goa and set to release in 2021. In the film, Ranveer Singh will play a double role opposite Pooja Hegde & Jacqueline Fernandez.

More about Angoor then Gulzar's film featured Sanjeev Kumar and Deven Verma in dual roles. 'Angoor' storyline follows the lives of two pairs of identical twins who are separated due to an unfortunate incident. However, years later, their lives intertwine, leading to confusion and misunderstandings.
