Jimmy Sheirgill, who we have often seen in Punjabi and Bollywood films is now exploring himself in the digital world. After performing in web series like Rangbaaz Phirse and Your Honor, Jimmy has now bagged another web series with Hotstar called Collar Bomb.

Directed by Dnyanesh Zoting, the film is said to be a thriller drama set in Himachal Pradesh and Jimmy Sheirgill will be seen essaying the role of a glorified cop whose life is thrown into chaos as he is forced to commit a series of heinous crimes before a suicide bomber blows up a school. The film had already started shooting in Shimla and is expected to wrap up by next week.

Television actress Asha Negi who was recently seen in Anurag Basu's Ludo and Jamtara: Sabka Number Aayega fame Sparsh Shrivastava are also locked in for playing pivotal roles in the film. However, nothing much about their characters have been revealed yet. Produced under the banners of Yoodlee Films and 3 Earth Entertainment, the film is believed to be discursively inspired by Pennsylvania's most infamous heist - The Collar Bomb case.

The thriller Collar Bomb will be Jimmy Sheirgill's third web project. The 'Judgementall Hai Kya' actor marked his web debut as a gangster Amarpal Singh in Zee5 popular show, 'Rangbaaz Phirse' that chronicles his rise to becoming the most wanted criminal in the history of Rajasthan.
