Mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan is doing Sanjay Gupta's Kaante for a reason, which he revealed at the music launch of the film.Along with Sanjay Gupta, Kaante is also produced by Sanjay Dutt and the Big B revealed that when he was a newcomer in the tinsel town, late Nargis Dutt had taken his screen test.

Bachchan also said that he owed a favor to Sunil Dutt who directed him in Reshma Aur Shera in 1971.Reminds of a dialogue from Mukul Anand's Agneepath where Bachchan as Vijay Dinanath Chauhan says Main apne maalik ka purana, bahut purana wafadar hoon, jo leta hoon, soot samet wapis karta hoon.
