Om Raut's multilingual project 'Adipurush', is becoming a talk of the town, not only for its script but also for its big star-cast. Against Prabhas, Om has already locked Saif Ali Khan to play the role of Lankesh and a few days back Sunny Singh and Angad Bedi have been finalized to play the role of Laxman and Meghnad respectively. More on the leading lady, big names such as Anushka Sharma, Kiara Advani, and Keerthy Suresh are among the many who are rumored to play the lead in the movie.

Now, according to the latest report, Kriti Sanon is all set to play Sita in the ambitious project. As a source close to the film told a leading tabloid, "After considering several top names, from both the Hindi and Telugu industries, they decided on Kriti. She will play the character with grace and dignity." The source has also disclosed that the film will go on the floors in January 2021 with a start to finish schedule.


It has been said that Om Raut will direct the film on the same scale as he directed his previous period drama Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. As per the reports, the film will be shot against a chroma screen and for the VFX work, producer Bushan Kumar is in talks with international VFX companies who have worked on films like Avatar and Star Wars.

Well, Prabhas starrer film Adipurush is expected to release in 2022, but fans are already excited about it. Now, we have to wait and watch when Om Raut will make an official announcement of Kriti Sanon playing the leading lady part.
