He has just been blessed with a baby daughter. "She was born on the 21st May, two weeks after my film Metro was released. My elder daughter Ishaan has suggested that we give the name 'Metro' our new bundle of joy. Unfortunately or fortunately we can't call our daughter that. She might grow up to hate us if we do," the director jokes.
The hunt is on for a suitable name for Anurag's second-born. As also for a suitable script to make his new film which UTV will again produce.
"I've four ideas in mind, one of them is a thriller and another a musical. I guess I'll have to soon decide what to make. For now I'm very happy with the way Metro has been received. When Gangster had been released it was trashed by critics. Even Metro wasn't well-received. But it has gone on to become a success."
There's a wonderful story waiting to be told about how Anurag conquered death. "Why just me?" he counters. "There are so many people fighting and overcoming death. I meet them every time I go to Tata Memorial hospital for my treatment. I've come out of it for now. Metro and now my baby girl have given me a new lease of life."
