Kartik Aaryan has to be one of the most charming and talented actors in the Hindi film industry who justifies every character he chooses to play on the big screen. The actor who recently announced his next thriller 'Dhamaka' now reportedly has signed a film titled 'Freddy' with director Ajay Bahl.

Reportedly, the film will go on floors in mid-2021 once the actor will wrap the filming of Ram Madhvani's Dhamaka. It is being said that Kartik, who has played fun characters in earlier of his films, will be seen in a different avatar in Freddy and will be playing the titular role. Ajay Bahl wanted a hero with a sense of mischief and mystery and the chocolate boy perfectly fits the demand of the character.

Reports are also rife that Kartik is choosing films with the clause that none of his upcoming films will be streamed on the OTT platforms. The post-lockdown scenario turned the producers to premiere their films on the OTT platforms yet some films did not work well. So, Kartik wants all of his films to be screened in the cinema halls and not in the digital space.

Meanwhile, Aaryan has lined up pretty interesting projects ahead himself which he has decided to kick-off one by one. Kartik will soon be on the sets of his thriller film 'Dhamaka' which is a remake of South Korean movie 'The Terror Live'. He is said to play the lead character of an investigating journalist.

Not only this, but he will also be seen with Kiara Advani in Anees Bazmee's 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' which is a sequel to Akshay Kumar`s hit film 'Bhool Bulaiyaa'. The actor has also bagged Karan Johar's Dostana 2 where Janhvi Kapoor will be seen playing the female lead.
