Based on John le Carre's acclaimed novel, 'The Night Manager' mini-series won huge acclaim when it was first released in 2016 on the BBC network. The audience loved the show which followed a hotel night manager and former British soldier called Jonathan Pine played by Tom Hiddleston. Now as per the reports, Disney plus Hotstar is all set for its Hindi adaptation and the platform has roped Hrithik Roshan to play the titular role.
Earlier the speculations were strong on Hrithik coming on board to helm Hiddleston's role but at that time the actor didn't confirm the news. Now, reports suggest that Hrithik is getting a whopping amount of Rs. 75 crores from the streaming giant and his signing amount indicating how big this venture is going to be for Disney plus Hotstar. Well, Aarya co-director Sandeep Modi will direct the series and the shooting will go on floors from March 2021.
Apart from the Hindi remake of The Night Manager, Hrithik will also be seen in the remake of Vikram Vedha alongside Saif Ali Khan. Earlier, Aamir was supposed to play Vijay Sethupathi's role but due to some uncertain reasons, he backed out of the project. Now, Hrithik is on the board and besides the remake projects, the actor is also preparing for Krrish 4.
More about 'The Night Manager' mini-series, the story revolves around Jonathan Pine, a luxury hotel night manager and former British soldier, who is recruited by Angela Burr, the manager of a Foreign and Commonwealth Office task force to investigate illegal arms sales, to infiltrate the inner circle of arms dealer Richard Roper. The series won several awards, including two Emmy Awards.
