Ranbir Kapoor and Shradhha Kapoor finally joined hands for an upcoming romantic-comedy film by Luv Ranjan who has earlier entertained the audience with hit films like Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. The film was planned to release on March 2020 but all the film schedules got postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Well, now the makers have finally decided to kick-off the schedules as Ranbir and Shraddha have jetted off to Delhi for the shooting of the film. And now, as per the reports, Dimple Kapadia and Boney Kapoor have been roped in to play pivotal roles in this rom-com. Both will be seen playing the role of Ranbir's parents in the film.

Reportedly, the writers were looking for a rich personality to play Ranbir's father and they found Boney Kapoor to be a fit person for that role. It was also being said that initially, Boney was not ready for the role but later said yes, due to Luv and his family's insistence. Well, this is the first time when Ranbir and Shraddha will be collaborating and will be seen together on the big screen. Meanwhile, Ranbir has an upcoming release 'Brahmastra' with his lady love Alia Bhatt.

The action-fantasy film is directed by Ayan Mukerji and also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Akkineni Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in key roles. The film is expected to release in the first quarter of 2021. Apart from these, Ranbir Kapoor has also bagged the lead role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's action-thriller film 'Animal'.
