/> Bappi Lahiri's renewed success that after his song in Taxi No 9211 continues.

Recently he set a new record with the Nightingale Lata Mangeshkar by becoming the second of three generations of Lahiris to record songs with her. Father Aparesh Lahiri had recorded with Lataji, followed by Bappi. Thereafter Bappi's son Bappa too will record with the amazing songstress.

Bappi set another new record by singing a song for Abhishek Bachchan in Guru.

"Years ago I had sung for Abhishek's father Amitji. It was a song entitled Aana jaana in the film Geraftaar. When I was called by A. R Rahman to sing for Abhishek I immediately went down memory lane to thirty years ago when I had sung for his father," says the composer-singer sentimentally.

Bappi has been signed by producer Pehlaj Nihalani to score music in a new film. "I've scored music for so many of Pehlaj-ji's films in the 1980s. It's good to be back in his cinema," says Bappi.
