Shruti, veteran actor Kamal Haasan's daughter, is set to bring out her music album next year.

However, this is not her first brush with singing. She has earlier sung songs for her father's films. Shruti lent her voice for "Hey Ram" and has also crooned songs for Kamal's forthcoming film "Dasavatharam".

Trained in Hindustani music, Shruti has just completed a course in music in Los Angeles and talks very highly of her father.

She says she has "learnt a lot of things" from her father who is knowledgeable "not only about acting but also about classical dance and music, besides technology."
