Yami Gautam's career began in television, where she made her debut in 2008 with the show Chand Ke Paar Chalo. She went on to play lead roles in series like Raajkumar Aaryyan and Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam. Apart from fiction, Yami also appeared in reality shows such as Meethi Choori No 1 and Kitchen Champion Season 1.
