Many wont even question a director like Shyam Benegal if he offers him or her a role, they'd just grab it without worrying about the length and meatiness of the role. It was no different with Amrita Rao who had been looking for a role which would take her beyond her present too good to be true image.

And what a project to get her out of the rut. Amrita got a call fro Benegal's office saying he wanted to meet her she got ecstatic since he's always on every actors wish list.

So without any questions she said yes Amrita is very excited about the film. She plays a village girl and the film is to be shot in Hyderabad and her co-star is Shreyas Talpade. Who's work she absolutely adored in Dor.

Shyam Benegal hasn't seen any of Amrita's film. "Shyam Benegal gets do a workshop before he starts the film so it will help her considering she has no who's had no formal training in acting.

Amrita's next release is E Niwas' My Is Anthony Gonzalves which she thinks is a very sweet script. Nxt she shoots UTV's Hook Or Crook after which she has Anil Kapoor's Short Cut with Akshaye Khanna and Arshad Warsi in the pipeline

She has also been shooting for a Telegu film in Austria because of which she couldn't shoot for all-star guest song for Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om.
